    Dawn recorded jazz, pop, rhythm and blues and folk music. A&R for the label was handled by Chuck Darwin, Paul Livert and Lee Magid. Although Dawn recorded many types of music the album output was primarily jazz releases. The jazz releases on the label were quite good and received many nice reviews in the jazz publications of the day.
