    ‘The Great Eastern’ was The Delgados third studio album, following ‘Domestiques’ in and ‘Peloton’ in The album was recorded by band member Paul Savage and engineer Tony Doogan in Scotland. The album was mixed by Dave Fridmann (Mercury Rev, The Flaming Lips, Mogwai) at Tarbox Road Studios.
